From September to May, I'm hoping to travel internationally one weekend a month, and inside the Czech Republic once or twice a month as well. (Note: I've edited this to reflect which trips I went on as well, since I only was there for one semester.)
September:
September:
~Dresden & Berlin, Germany: while Dresden wasn't on my list, I actually went there three times because I had problems with my visa. I don't recommend Dresden. It's not that great, unless you want a slow, lazy weekend.
~Olomouc, Sternberk, Telc & Kutna Hora, Czech Republic: I made it to four Czech cities in September, although I'd already been to two of them.
October:
~Vienna, Austria: Vienna was also not on my list, but it was an included trip with the program. I'd been before, but I've found once is not enough for Vienna. It's a wonderful place, I wouldn't mind living there!
~Olomouc, Prostejov, Ceske Budejovice, Ceske Krumlov & Benesov, Czech Republic: I added three more Czech cities I hadn't previously visited!
November:
~Krakow, Poland: It was an interesting trip, and I might have liked it more if we hadn't been so rushed, and it had been warmer. The city seemed like a great place to go, we just were so cold and tired!
~Interlaken, Switzerland: My favorite trip of the semester! I loved Interlaken, I loved hiking up to where my great-grandmother grew up. What a wonderful weekend, I had a blast.
December:
~Mittelheim & Munich, Germany: I met up with my Deutsche Prince in Germany for Christmas and New Year's. It was a great two weeks, and I gained a lot of weight because his grandmothers are amazing cooks!
Places I Didn't Make It To (aka: Future Trips)
~Spain: - I'd like to visit Madrid and Barcelona. A lot of people went while I was in Prague, but the plane tickets were expensive.
~Italy: I'm planning on spending at least aweek month in Italy: Rome, Florence, Venice, Cirque Terre, Milan, Naples, etc. I want to see a lot of Italy, and to do it well.
~Italy: I'm planning on spending at least a
~Munich (Neuschwanstein), Germany:- While I've already been to Munich, I missed out on a lot of the outdoor culture, because we were there for New Year's. I'd like to go back in Summer.Besides, I didn't get to Neuschwanstein.
~Belgium: I'd like to see Brussels and Brugge.
~The Netherlands(Holland): Definitely a spring/summer trip, since I'd like to see the tulips. Also Amsterdam would be fantastic.
~Great Britain: Another longer trip, hopefully. I want to visit London, and then head up to Scotland, and possibly over to Ireland as well, as I have friends in both countries.
~Croatia: Dubrovnik for sure, as well as anywhere else that I could bum around on a beach for a while.
~Greece: My dream would be to spend a summer working and living in Greece, maybe on the islands.
